Freezer Meal Exchange Update

We have completed our trial run and it was so much more fun than I expected. Namely because I hate cooking.

But there was something so utterly soothing about knowing I was making two-weeks worth of meals and only dirtying one bowl, two measuring spoons and a few prep bowls.

And, in just about an hour, I made Basil Burgers to serve 48 AND it was the easiest cleanup ever. Even easier than tuna noodle casserole night. Something about all that just doesn’t add up.

After a brief swap meet in a church parking lot, our freezer is now stocked with eight nights’ worth of fresh entrees (plus leftovers, I’m sure), lovingly prepared by my Freezer Meal Team.

If you care to see a sampling of our menu, there’s a little link up on our masthead for you to check out. And if you’re interested in joining the team for the next round, just let me know. The money and time saving of this concept is serious genius, and I couldn’t recommend it more highly. I hope to cook only once or twice per month, oh, until THE END OF TIME.
