Child Abuse
Thinking about how I was NOT going to put any candy in my kids’ Easter baskets this year reminded me of the following conversation I had with my mom around Christmastime (round about the time Bastien had a wee bit of an obsession with candy canes).
My Mom: Are you going to put candy canes in Bastien’s stocking?
Me: NO! The last thing he needs is candy. I found these great organic fruit puree pouches though.
LONG, UNCOMFORTABLE SILENCE…
My Mom: You were NOT raised that way.

On second thought, maybe a chocolate bunny will sneak his way into Bastien’s Easter basket. Just like the ENTIRE BOX of candy canes that mysteriously showed up in his stocking.
