Hadley’s Valentine Tomten Sweater

Good grief, I am NEVER knitting another sweater as long as I live. This thing took weeks. My patience cannot handle such cruel and unusual punishment. I mean, there was a good chance she could have outgrown the darn thing before I even finished.

The only tiny mistake I made was NEGLECTING TO KNIT, OH, 24 ROWS. Woopsies. When I realized this little detail, it was way way waaaaay to late to go back. Thank God it fits her anyway, (for like the next 10 minutes). Or I would be crying myself to sleep for the next 10 years.

Oddly enough, the pattern is legendary knitter, Elizabeth Zimmerman’s, from the book: Knitting Without Tears. The irony here is not lost on me. I told Jim I am authoring my own book: Weeping While You Knit. And you just know it’ll make millions.

I’d also like to point out that this favorite blogger of mine is totally stealing my thunder this week.
