Knitting Updates
I made a couple of hats for the holidays that I am mildly proud of. I feel compelled to show them off because they were not miserable failures (quite unlike the fingerless mitts I am currently working on for my sister).
So there was this one, for my sister-in-law Marie…

From a free pattern that claims to be a knock-off of a Banana Republic hat costing $50. Nice! (Gotta watch out for those sneaky knitters!)
And this sassy thing, for my Mom…

It’s a hybrid of free patterns, really. You will know I am a professional knitter when I am brave enough to actually pay for a pattern.
And here’s this scarf thingy that I knit her last year for Christmas, but just now got around to taking a picture of, even though she wears it all the time (because that’s the length a mom will go to to make her daughter feel loved)…

One of my New Year’s resolutions was to knit three wearable sweaters. Ugh, I think I would do just fine if it weren’t for that ugly middle word. Stay tuned to delight in my successes or failures. Or more than likely, a little of both.
