theJLBs Craft: Notecards
While I’m on a Shameless Plug rampage this week, I’m just going to go ahead and promote one more thing.
I’m a HUGE fan of the hand-written note. I’ve had various penpals in my life (one was actually from a message in a bottle! For real!). And few things make my heart skip a beat faster than finding a letter in the mailbox. In fact, during the past two Lenten seasons, I’ve written a note every-other day to the homebound members of our church. I am SERIOUS about my notes.
But for way too long I’ve been writing my notes on embarrassing scraps of paper. Thank-you notes to various neighbors for all the sweet things they do…notes to relatives when I’m sending them pictures of the kids…if you’re going to go to the trouble of hand-writing a personal note (and you SHOULD!) it ought to be on something a little more special than a freebie notepad from Standard Federal. I’m just saying.
Anyway, we’ve kind of been swooning over this printing place called MOO lately. Their paper is just luscious. Jim’s photography business cards are from MOO and they speak volumes about the care that he puts into his prints. So, I did a quick round-up from the archives of all my favorite prints of recent years and ordered a set of postcards from Moo. Here are the images I chose:
I LOVE them. And I’m hoping my note recipients are loving them too.
So what I was thinking is maybe you would love some sweet/fresh/funny theJLBs notecards of your very own too? Or perhaps you might need a gift for a note-writing fiend like me? If so, just leave a comment or drop us a line, and we’ll respond to you with ordering information.
Oh if I had just a wee bit more time, I’d be sure to get back to you with a hand-written note too, I swear!
