Not surprisingly, we take this holiday pretty seriously around here.

But what is surprising is that I despise carving pumpkins. Can’t stand it. I just do not have the patience for all that precision work. And that is why, after about two cuts, I promptly handed the job over to my perfection-seeking husband.

However, I really, really liked our little carving party on Halloween Eve. I liked measuring my little ones up to the pumpkins we grew from seeds in our garden. And all the laughs we had trying to get the right shot.

I hope that it becomes a tradition.

Costumes and tricktreats tomorrow. I know, I know, you’re over Halloween already. But cute babies in costumes? How can you ever be over that?
