Can Do
We recently had the pleasure of canning raspberry jam with friends. This was our first canning experience. Our friend Scott hand-picked all the berries before our arrival. He and his wife Jenna also purchased all the materials necessary and did all the research on how to can. Scott even checked his GPS to see precisely what elevation we were at to make sure our stovetop cooking was done exactly right. So when I said “We” canned, what I really meant is that “We” completely mooched off friends and scored ourselves 12 jars of delicious jam (that also makes a mean ice cream topping). That’s just how the JLBs roll.
