Hadley’s Two-Month Stats
Hadley’s two-month milestone flew by fast and furiously. Well, that’s not really true because the last couple weeks have been rather pleasant and unfurious if I’m being honest. For example, she sleeps in her crib from about 9PM to 9AM now with just one or (rarely) two quick meals in between. (What marvelous children we have in this department I might brag add).
We dutifully visited her pediatrician to ensure she got stabbed repeatedy by giant needles. The first time you hear your child cry like that, gah, it just rips a hole in the center of your heart. But on a more cheerful note, at least she won’t be contracting a smattering of serious illnesses anytime soon!

So at two months and change, Hadley weighed in at 13.1 lbs and measured 23 3/4″ long. Our doctor did not share the percentiles with us, which seems to be standard procedure with him. And not being so competitive in that department, I really don’t care to know anyway. So please don’t act on your urge to tell me what a GIANT BABY she is. I already know she can beat up your baby. And that’s good enough for me.
*True story: Bastien wanted to bring his baby doll along to the doctor as well, which he promptly ditched on the waiting room floor for newer, shinier doctor’s office toys. So because I often have a spare hand (what with an infant, toddler, diaper bag and million pound infant carrier to wrangle) I was left in charge of his baby too. Anyway, when the doctor opened the door to our room, he threw-up in his mouth a little at the sight of our “infant” left precariously unattended on the edge of the examining table. Guess the joke was on him, huh?
