Round-up
Here are a bunch of recent developments that don’t relate to anything else. But that doesn’t make them any less important:
1. We now have high-speed Internet, people! Dream the impossible dream.
2. Not to be outdone by her big brother, Hadley said her first word: “Goo.” It is freaking adorable.
3. When our high speed Internet was being installed, they cut through the invisible dog fence, rendering it ineffective. One step forward, as they say. DO NOT TELL MAZZY.
4. Our cat is being stalked. This usually leads to Jim having to get up at odd hours to break things up. So then we’re all up. And it’s like a regular party around here. Last time after the big fight she got hair and blood all over the glider in the nursery. Awesome.
5. We recently discussed writing a book about all the ridiculously inappropriate things we’ve done with our babies in-tow. Then last weekend we took them both to a wedding. I don’t think we intended to start the book so soon.
6. Jim just handed me a flex-spending reimbursement check for $98.76. They appear to have declined something. Just like the time they declined reimbursing us for my doctor-prescribed breast pump because they deemed it “medically unnecessary”. Luden’s cough drops are OK though. This time, rather than putting up a stink, I think I’ll just take the check and run off to Mexico.
7. #3 relates to #1, making me a big, fat liar.
