A Million Dirt

Over the weekend we had quite an exciting development. Someone came and took our pool! They even paid us for it! Do you even realize how wonderful Craigslist is?

Now we are aware this could potentially be one of many reasons our kids will hate us. So mum’s the word if they ask you why we have that ginormous dirt hole in our yard, ok? Or “A million dirt” as my little sister said the first time she saw a plowed field.

Getting rid of the pool turned out to be the easy part (do you know we had something like 20 interested parties?) But now we are left with the task of figuring out what to put in its place. So far, here’s what we’ve got:
A volleyball court
An outdoor kitchen
A play structure
A garden
And also, a giant dirt pit.
As luck would have it, that one requires no extra work. And we can afford it!
