We checked in to our hotel and spa the hospital at 6:00 last night just in time to watch most of the Red Wings game. Around 8:00, they gave Jessica cervidil to get things started and then nothing happened for a long time. Sometime after midnight, she started having intense contractions that prevented her from sleeping. Her OB had requested they stop the cervidil if she started having contractions, so they did but not until after 4. That allowed Jessica to get some sleep, and at 6:00, they started the petocin. The nurse just came in (around 7:30) and turned it up a notch, so she is having regular contractions (2 minutes apart). Feels like it could be a while.

9cm. 0 station. Bulging bag of waters.

Sometime just after 1PM
Jessica felt like it was time to push. Her OB broke her water and it was time to push.

She and Jessica are both doing great. She’s been pretty quiet so far, but we don’t expect that to last.
