Two Weeks Since Metopic Synostosis Corrective Surgery

Doesn’t it seem like his surgery was months ago already? Well he sure acts like it was. I snapped this quick pic with my iphone this morning before delivering him to Grandma B. My sister pointed out that he tends to look more healed in pictures than in person, but I think this picture does a good job of showing it how it is. His forehead is “over-corrected” and may look like this for another 12-18 months. A bit bulgey on the sides. Also, one eye occasionally appears bigger than the other. But I don’t find this alarming since he has the Graham eyes (and we all have one prominent eye).
As far as behavior goes, he continues to act just like his old self. He’s even sleeping-in a bit longer this week like he used to. One funny/interesting thing to note is that he seems to have stopped drooling. I have no idea if this is related to the surgery or a lull in teething, but to me it seems like it lines up directly with the surgery date. Also, he’s big into showing us what he wants these days rather than incessantly whining. This morning for example, Grandma B was baking some cookies. As soon as his feet hit the kitchen floor, he was pulling on my hand, dragging me over to the counter to show me that he definitely wanted one of those. It was very cute (and so much more preferrable than whining)–I really couldn’t resist.
