Bastien’s CVR – Post-op Day 9
We missed a day of posting and picture taking yesterday. I work all day Wednesdays and teach yoga at night, so Bastien spends the day with Grandma B and gets home precisely at bedtime. He did alright being away from me that long, but really seemed relieved that I could read him a few bedtime stories and tuck him in. I must admit, it feels good to be needed! I think the thing that is hardest for us at the moment is just getting used to the way he looks now. For one, because his look seems to be changing by the day. But mostly because when we compare pictures from immediately before, he still looked like a baby to us. And now, well he looks more grown up. I think that is probably the way it is supposed to be. Afterall, we wouldn’t want him looking like a baby forever. But still, a change like that is a bit hard to adapt to practically overnight. We really do feel blessed that things have gone so well thus far, and appreciate all of you who have been keeping tabs. Today we have our follow up appointment and will post again if anything interesting develops.
