12 Days of Christmas – “ho ho ho”

We’ve been prepping Bastien for this for weeks now. In fact, he’s even learned to say “ho ho ho”. Well it comes out more like “whu whu whu,” but we know what he means. Anyway, what we neglected to prep him for was the grueling hour and a half wait to actually get to this point. Whoops. Luckily, Jim was able to run him around the mall while I held our place in line. So he probably only spent about 15-20 minutes in line really. But that might as well be forever when you’re 15 months old at naptime. So I will have you know, this reaction to Santa had nothing to do with Santa himself. No, this is more an expression of, “OMG, why are we still in the middle of this stinkin’ mall???” Merry Christmas, Bastien. We only did it because we love you.
