What a perfect night we had with Grandpa Rau and family celebrating B’s first birthday. We decided what really makes for a good party is kids running to and fro, doing their funny kid things. In fact, we’re considering renting some extras for upcoming parties. At first, Bastien seemed a little stunned at his good fortune when a couple carloads of gift-bearing people showed up at his doorstep.

He warmed up when the cake came out, diving in faster than Michael Phelps in the 100M Butterfly. Yep, it was a good first birthday party alright.
