Rollercoaster

Today Bastien had his first swim class. I have to say it completely exceded my expectations. We played “Motor boat” and he kicked across the pool on his belly and his back. We also sprinkled water on his head and even got in a big circle and played “Pass the baby”. But most fun of all, we dunked–and he didn’t even cry! I think it’s safe to say we’re all excited to see what’s in store for class number two, next Saturday.

Later on, we cheered on Aunt Courtney and the Ladywood Hockey team at the state playoff game against Cranbrook. Sadly, our Blazers lost (though it was a really close and exciting game–and not just because Chris Chelios was in the crowd). Many tears were shed by the Blazers and their fans. But I believe Bastien was affected most of all, as he groaned himself to sleep when we got home.
