Mom’s First Day Back at Work

I’m doing this temporary office/home split for work until the new year when I will go freelance. Today was my first day back in the office and Jim dropped Bastien off with Grandma. While it’s been a sad day away, here are some positives:
I had the best shower in months.
No crying baby in the backseat of my car.
I got to eat lunch!
I got to eat lunch with both hands!
And I got to check email for more than 30 seconds at a time.
But I’m sure the best part of my day will be in about a half hour when I get to see him again.
I’m exhausted. How do working moms do this every day?
