Water in the basement

We discovered a moderate amount of water in the basement on Wednesday night. Needless to say, this was very upsetting to me. It seemed to be coming from underneath the sink area, but I couldn’t feel any water on or near the plumbing I had just completed. After falsely suspecting the dishwasher, I noticed that there was water coming from the top of the Studor vent that was installed to replace the steel pipe that used to vent the sink (thankfully, I realized this before I got very far with disassembling the dishwasher). The vent appears to be improperly installed, because the product information specifically says “The valve should be installed in the vertical, upright position.” It’s currently installed horizontally coming off of a tee from the sink drain after it enters the basement. I have called the contractor to have him fix it, but I have not heard back about when they’re going to fix it.
