Fire!

Yes, we can technically cook again now that the range is in. The microwave is also in, but I haven’t had a chance to wire up the outlet in the cabinet above it.

To sum up what we did this weekend:

• Installed 6 wall cabinets
• Installed pantry (36″ W x 96″ H)
• Installed 3 base cabinets
• Installed microwave & connected to vent
• Installed range

We ran into a few issues Sunday night that prevented us from installing more cabinets. First, when we put the sink base down (which I butchered thanks to my poor templating skills), we discovered that the supplies for the sink were roughed in too short. Second, when we put up the refrigerator panel, we discovered that we would end up with 14″ for our 15″ utility cabinet. Not good. The supplies will be extended this morning/afternoon, so that takes care of the first issue, and I think we’ve come up with a feasible workaround for the second, so we might be able to get some more base cabinets and possibly the fridge cabinets tonight!
