Kitchen – End of week 3
It’s just about the end of week 3 of the kitchen remodel, and the rough electrical (except for dishwasher & garbage disposal circuits), rough plumbing, HVAC are done, and drywall is up. There are a few spots that still need patching and a final coat of mud before we can paint, but we fully plan on painting this weekend. That will make us ready for the floor installation (wide plank cherry) on Wednesday (8/17-8/18). New windows will be going in around the same time. We’ve got cabinets in the garage at the ready and appliances to be delievered on 8/22. It’s really starting to get exciting! Hopefully, everything will be done by the first week in September.
Here’s the summary of the electrical work I have completed so far:
- Circuit 1: 4 GFCI outlets along sink wall
- Circuit 2: 2 GFCI outlets + range outlet along range wall
- Circuit 3: Kitchen lighting (10 recessed lights, 4 undercabinet, 2 pendants, 1 wall light, 6 switches)
- Circuit 4: Outlet for microwave
- Circuit 5: Bathroom GFCI outlet
- Circuit 6: 2 GFCI outlets for washer & dryer
- Circuit 7: 2 GFCI outlets for mudroom
