We demolished the partition wall between the kitchen and the addition over the weekend. It really opens things up. We also started the demolition for moving the powder room door from the north wall to the west wall, but ran into a bit of a problem. Seems that they didn’t have cement board back when they put up the tile, and they used some sort of steel lath attached to the studs with what looks like cement spread over the lath. Most likely, we will need a diamond saw blade to cut that stuff down. Otherwise, it went quite well. Pictures are up in the gallery.
